El mes de septiembre del 2005, recorremos hacia la ciudad de Borbón, desde Ibarra, un grupo de Eco- Nómada con el objetivo de difundir los atractivos ecoturisticos de esta ruta que nadie ha promocionado hasta ahora.
Pasaremos por la Comuna Río Santiago-Cayapas. Donde tendremos un encuentro para impulsar el ecoturismo.
La ruta empieza en Ibarra, y luego seguiremos el río santiago, para en tres días arribra a la ciudad de Borbón.
